You are not just a city,
You are more than that,
Much, much more,
For you are the very heart of God.

Let no one say you are just a city,
Let them that do be accursed,
You are more than that,
You are the brightest jewel in His crown.

Jerusalem, eternal and holy,
Not just a city,
The throne room is what you are,
From you He will reign.

Not just a city,

A bright shining star,
