I slept,
but my heart was awake,
all night long on my bed,
i looked for the one;
my heart loves,
but i didn't find her.

Oh! My love,
why has thou forsaken me?
I sit under your love-tree shade,
and your fruit is sweet to my taste, you arouse my love,
now, don't wriggle it away.

Everytime i am awake,
i pretend everything is ok,
listen! My heart can't stop crying,
every breadth that i take.
Arise, come, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.
