You Asked My Name Poem by Sandra Marie

You Asked My Name

You asked my name...
Yet I couldn't speak and you left
I pleaded for you to stay...
But I guess it was much to late.

That look you gave me
That one touch you made
It made me realize how much
I feel for you.

How much I have fallen for you
But now that you are gone
I don't know what to feel
You gave me that other look
That I never saw.

Then you walked out that door
and never heard of you again.
I ran to you hold you in my arms
and said....
'I may not know you, but I'm willing to know you and love you'

As I said that
I see a tear in your eye and say
'No one has ever said that to me before'
I still hold you in my arms in the rain.

As you say again
'But I do have to go, But I will always remember you'
As he kissed me in my cheek

He walks as I stay there in the rain
and think 'I listened to my heart didn't I? ,
I tried at least he knows right? '

'Oh Hey! what's your name? '
He asked me as I say
'Sandra'
'Thank you for making me realize who I' am'

He says Bye...As I say Bye and see you soon
