You Belong With Me Poem by Kathleen Stead

You Belong With Me

Rating: 4.8

I should of known,
This is how it would end,
But I honestly wish,
You'd still be my friend.

You were like my brother,
We were close as could be,
But she got in the way,
And now you don't come near me.

You two got together,
And she hates when I'm around,
She really doesn't like me,
All she does is knock me down.

So I see that you chose her,
Instead of the one you knew for years,
But it's obvious you don't realize,
Me fighting back the tears.

So if you two don't work out,
And you finally see,
That the truth is,
That you belong with me.
