It seems you've cast an anchor
Beside another one
Into the loosened up afternoon of the west.



The remotest one from the sun.

Alone and sad you had been
Like bubbles
That rise from a sinking ship.


Now that the night is invisibly visible here?





।। নোঙ্গরের পাশে ।।
নোঙ্গরের পাশে তুমি, মনে হলো, ফেলেছো নোঙ্গর
সূর্য থেকে দূরতম পশ্চিমের এলানো বিকেলে;
বিষণ্ন ও একা ছিলে। ডুবন্ত জাহাজ থেকে
জেগে ওঠা বুদ্বুদের মতো।

রাত্রি এখানে তবে, অগোচরে, হয়েছে গোচর?
