You blinded me,
and it hurt.
You blindfolded me from the truth,
as your words stabbed knives in my back.
You made me turn away from her.
I was upset and started getting behind,
that was before Easter day.
I wanted to rage and scream and tell you my pain,
but I can't.
You don't deserve it.
You don't deserve my love,
you don't deserve my tears,
you don't deserve my rage,
you don't deserve my happiness,
you don't deserve my life,
you don't deserve my trust,
and you most certainly don't deserve me.
But I want to thank you for one thing,
thank you for a better you.
But he isn't you.
He hasn't hurt me,
he hasn't hurt her,
he hasn't hurt my family.
So thank you Dad,
you blinded me.
