You Broke My Heart Poem by Minerva Agriam

You Broke My Heart

I heard your name was mentioned,
I felt my heart lept with joy.
Because your name brings you close to me.

I saw you walked by,
Those lazy strides and sure steps,
Echoing within my mind so sweet.

I heard you sing a song,
Like forever I treasured your voice;
Within my heart your sound is stored.

What would happen to those cherry lips
If I can't bring them to mine,
With sweet hugs and kisses?

Now you bade goodbye.
You got me questioning the unknown;
Burdened by your sudden slipped away.

How it breaks my lonely heart,
Letting you go my dearest.
How could you break my heart like this?
