You Cannot Kill A Spirit Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

You Cannot Kill A Spirit

I'm too powerful spiritually
My destiny has been predetermined
You maybe stronger materially
But all that you have gained, you have squandered

Even though you try you cannot kill me
For I am more than a body of flesh
I am greater than anything you see
Magnitudes beyond your consciousness

So whatever metric you may use
It can never encompass my being
For crimes, misdemeanours, myself accuse
I'll surely rise through everything

This soul has been blessed by the great spirit
It is universal and infinite
