You Died So Others Will Live

Rating: 0.5

As an infant you were born to die for others
You were blessed with the Virgin Mary as your mother
You learned as a child and did your father’s deed
Your followers were people in need

As time went on you died on the cross
For all those sinners who were lost
Your wounds were deep inside your skin
You were whip, starved and very thin

They condemned you for what you believed
They scorned, whipped you and made you bleed
They nailed you to a cross because they did not believe
That you were sent here to forgive and relieve

Your hands were nailed to the cross
You died no matter what the cost
You abide by your father’s rule
Because you went through the best school

Even though others will never understand who you are
We know that you are the one who carried the scars
Your father loved you enough to let you go
You have millions of followers who love you so

We will love you til our dying day
We will follow and do what you say
You are the one and only son of the Father above
Send down from heaven to give us his love

All we need is to believe in you
For you will always let us know what to do
You will not lead us astray
For through you we will be shown the way

So Lord, keep us close to your side
Help to by your rules to abide
Keep on the right path
So we are not punished by God wrath
