You Don'T Belong Here. Poem by Diana Lopez

You Don'T Belong Here.

“You don’t belong here! ! ”
Those are the words that came out of your mouth as I dashed past you.
There poison!

Poison to my ears,
And my heart.
How can you burst those words out as if,
As if they mean nothing.

There killing me!
Can you tell?
You spit those words at me and they tear me apart as if your slicing a 3’foot knife right threw my heart.

I get a chill down my spine,
So strong it even shakes the ground.
Those four words keep spinning inside my head.

Will they go away?
Or will they haunt me?
