You Don'T Have To Speak To Me Poem by Shelby Burnside

You Don'T Have To Speak To Me

staring into the dark
wishing you could be with me
but you dont...even care...

what did i do
why can we do to make things right?
i know your there
why wont you speak to me?

tears are rolling down my face
and time and space have lost there place;
they've stopped.
you wont even look at me
and i know that you have lied to me

what did i do?
what can we do to make things right?
i know your there
why wont you speak to me?

the dark has lost his appeal
im seeking something brighter
theres nothing here to quench that thirst
theres nothing here to help me

what did i do?
what can i do to make things right?
i know you're there
why wont you speak to me?

staring into the light
i force my eyes to focus now
the match i struck begins to burn down
my fingers hurt, burning as the flames lick around
i throw it down and my world is bright now

what did i do?
but i just figured out how to make this right.
i've lost those tears.
you wont have to speak to me.
