You Don'T Love Me Anymore Poem by Karena Cotton

You Don'T Love Me Anymore

Remember when you loved me?
When you would smile and call me yours?
When I lied through my teeth with a straight face
Just to keep you around?
Remember when you loved me?
When you believed every word I said?
When you fell head over heels for me
And would always protect me?
Remember when you loved me?
When you cried your eyes out?
When you learned the truth
About me?
Remember when you left me?
When you said we'd always be friends?
When you said you still felt love for me
Deep down in your shattered heart?
Remember when you left me?
When you ran off with other people?
When you claimed to still love me
But found a new lover to replace me?
Remember when I killed myself?
When I hung from the ceiling by a rope?
When you cried your heart out
About not loving me anymore?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This kinda was inspired by my boyfriend after he left me. I fell apart so quickly it killed me.
