You Don't Love Me Poem by K K

You Don't Love Me

You like when my breath is etched into the nape of your neck.
When my hands are clawing on your chest.
When my muscles are contracting onto yours.
But you don't love me.
You love the way I worship every inch of you.
The way I analyze everything you say.
The way I crave your presence.
But you don't love me.
You love where my soul reaches out for a touch.
Where my body aligns with your curves perfectly.
Where my love fills your endless holes of remembering past perfections I can't fill.
That's what you love.
I'm tired of being alone.
I'm tired of reaching out into the endless flaws trying to fill the space others lefts holes in.
I'm tired of pretending to love myself.
So you'll love me.
Why can't anybody see me.
Love me.
You love the idea of someone like me loving the corners of the mind you couldn't share because you were too fucking scared.
But not me.
Im just the thrown away idea of a whisper you used to think of.
Never the dream.
I'll never be.
But why not me?
