You Have The Love I Want Poem by Silence Dogood

You Have The Love I Want

I wish that this was easier.
because it's so hard letting go.
I wish that you had liked me.
And made my heart aglow.

I wish that I never met love.
Atleast not face to face.
Because now I'll never have it.
Not in this time or place.

I wish I never liked you.
Just like you never liked me back.
I wish that I had stuck to my fav colours.
Like red and white and black.

I wish that I was over you.
So that I wouldn't care.
I wish I could forget you.
And every moment shared.

I wish you couldn't make me smile.
Like the way you always do.
I wish you wouldn't make me happy.
Or make me fall for you.

I wish that I never wrote this poem.
Or the poems I wrote before.
I wish that I was open.
So you could see down to my core.

I wish that my life were different.
So you could have known me.
For who I was and should of been.
And for who I'll never be.

I wish that things were simple.
So that all of this would clear.
I wish I didn't miss you.
Or want you to be here.

I wish that I wasn't thinking about you.
Much more than it seems.
I wish that I didn't want you.
As much as in my dreams.

I wish that you could catch me.
Or atleast suspend my fall.
That way I never hit the ground.
Or find any pain at all.

I wish that you would read this.
That way you'd truly know.
That you had someone love you.
Someone who won't let go.
