You Held The World Poem by Violent Violet

You Held The World

tired eyes, through them your heart cries, for all the times you words were filled with lies and inside your mind, you run and hide
In the open but behind bars, it breaks my heart to see such as strongman in so much pain. To me, you held the world, but now I realized you dropped it when you fell, down the whole that sucked you in, you couldn't breathe and now your drowning, in your guilt and in your pain and how I dreaded the man that you became and those tired eyes now filled with regret beg for forgiveness and ask me to forget...
