You Light The Dark Poem by Andrew Vassell

You Light The Dark

Through the long dark
and cold winter's night,
in the midst of the moon-
light I see your smile.
As is said the sun never
set but it simply show
it's reflection through
the moon which shows
an image of you I think
I see or is it my dream?

Beautiful light through
the moon's eclipse, are
you winking at or kissing
me? As the moon begin
it's descent and the night
sees it's end, the trueness
of you I see as the sun
keeps my spirit sweet.

You light the dark of my
day, the thoughts of you
relight my way. Never lost,
I'll always see, your smile
at night as that light shines
through me. You light the
dark, you shine on me just
makes me know you're
loving me.
