You Live Poem by Elizabeth Clement

You Live

Daydreaming about love.
Thinking fairytales can’t come true.
Wondering where’s my prince charming.
Guessing love isn’t for me.
Building a stone wall,
To protect my fragile heart.

But when I talk to you.
My wall crumbles around me.
I think I’ve found my prince.
I believe in fairytales once again and,
I say love is for me,
Because you live.
