If I Could Spill My Secrets Poem by Elizabeth Clement

If I Could Spill My Secrets

Rating: 4.0

If I could spill my secrets,
I’d tell that one guy,
That he is the most perfect thing to walk this earth,
Because he is the only thing I think is perfect.

If I could spill my secrets,
I’d tell that one guy,
That he shouldn’t change anything about himself,
Because he is everything I’ve wished for all in one.

If I could spill my secrets,
I’d tell that one guy,
That I just want him happy even if it means being without me,
Because he is always depressed.

If I could spill my secrets,
I’d tell that one guy,
That I’ve loved him since I first saw him,
Because I fell so hard that unforgettable time I first saw you.

This is a very focused poem that doesn't stray from itself. It doesn't divide into something else. It stays true to itself, though the title suggests multiple secrets about multiple things. Wonderful focus.Well done writer. GW62

I think this is an awesome poem about more than the outer appearance, I think Raven doesn't want this guy to change not because of how he looks but how he acts and he is perfect with the qualities every girl, I would imagine, would want in their partners.

Personally I've never got how someone could fall in love based solely on another persons appearence, but you conveyed your thought in a deep and creative way so it was a good poem anyway.
