You May Kill A Poet Poem by Patrick Calleja

You May Kill A Poet

You may kill a poet
Stop him from writing
Silence his pen - His thoughts
But his words shall live on
For the words of a poet
Are not ones which may be killed
And buried beneath the grave
The words of a poet shall be remembered
By everyone - From everywhere
Once a poet writes his thoughts
His words are out there for the world to see
I do bid you - You may kill a poet
But you may not kill his words

poems outlive poets. Truely killing a poet is far from killing his effects. I love your poems,
