You, Me And Now Poem by Simon Olafsson

You, Me And Now

I don't care about yesterday, the past hour or past seconds.
I really don't care about the next second, next hour or tomorrow.
What matters is that you're here now.

I've seen you.
What you've gone through.
I see you.
Whats going on inside you.
I will see you.
Because I will be there for you.

It has been tough and it always will be.
But what if I told you to take in the deepest breath you've ever taken.
For one last time.
Take in all your memories from your mending heart.

All the sorrows from those you've lost.
All the happiness you've felt, when nothing else mattered more than them.
All the brokenhearted times, when you realized it was better without them.

When you're ready, not yet, only when you truly feel it.
Do you?

Make today feel like you're on top of the rollercoaster and let the end of the day feel like the time you got off with all blown hair and a smile on your face.

People always says that the past and the future could be changed by a single misstep.
Don't be afraid to take the wrong step.
It could be the right one.

Take a step with me into the unknown.
As long as I can feel your heart beating next to mine.
That's all I need to know.

When I look in your hazel eyes.
It feels like the past dissappers and the future can wait.
All that matters is right now.
All that matters is you.

Breathe out.
