You, My Eyes, You Poem by Amanda Larsen

You, My Eyes, You

Kill the light
The dark is safe
I can not see your eyes
You can not see me cry

Hold me near and let me breathe again
Promise you wont let go
I will sleep in your arms
I will dream that you leave
But let me wake and be wrong

If you are everything,
How can you go?
If there is nothing left
Why do I live?
Why do I hurt?
Why do I hope?
Why do I love?

You,
My eyes, you
I will never forget
It is a curse
And a promise
Every broken piece of me
Belongs to you,
My eyes, you

If I put my hand on your ribs
And kissed your chin
And breathed your name
Would you feel Im there?
Would you feel I'm there?
You,
My eyes, you...
