You Need Me, Like A Bad Habit Poem by Harley Adams

You Need Me, Like A Bad Habit

thrills and my heart is still.
into the space between our eyes.
bad news and hard times
if i was ever under construction i am now considered an overdue library book.
full of looks, and laughs.
i'm terrified to the bone, and i've been too alone
to understand the crimes i'm commiting.
the objective i have selected: state the obvious.
i'm mad for you, your mad for me.
was it not enough?
so i write down every word to describe how i'm feeling at the moment: :

i lack everything including emotion at this second in my life.
i would perish, and dare you to fall in love with me.
we are just holding back, cause there's a set up
and my mind can't take the medicine your feeding it.
but darling try to see through the tragedy.
i was never made for this.
and you, you were never made for me.
