You Never Saw It Coming Poem by Emzee d'Va

You Never Saw It Coming

I am big,
I am huge,
I am round,
Its all they see.

He is strong,
He will never do it,
He is just expressing,
Its all they say.

Screams can be silent,
Tears can be dry,
Pain can be invisible,
Its all they never think of.

My rally for help,
My cry for a true companion,
My fight to survive,
Its all they will never know.

Some of you cared,
Some of you cared too late,
Some of you saw me drown,
But most of you don't swim.

Don't blame me for not knowing to swim,
As you weren't there to teach me,
Don't blame me for swimming alone,
As you weren't there to accompany me.

I won't blame you for not knowing to swim,
Because I never asked if you knew,
I won't blame you for not accompanying me,
Because how would you have known.
