You'Re Gonna Miss It All - Poem by Rebecca Mueller

I loved you with all my heart
But you just never let me in
I could see I was wasting my time
Waiting for you all night and day
You treated me with no respect
You thought that I was different
That I was gonna stay with you
But you were wrong
I saw you just yesterday
You were hanging with your crew
You tried to talk to me again
And I passed you by
My life is better now
I don’t have to live your lies
And stand in your shadow
It’s over now
What is wrong with you?
I’m not your baby girl
I’ve left you for good this time
So don’t come back
You’re gonna miss it all
When I walk through your door
You’re gonna miss it all
When I say goodbye
You’re gonna miss it all
When we kiss goodnight
You’re gonna miss it all
Every single day of your life
