You'Re Not Proper - Poem by Snake Blocker
I went for the status of it all…
I dated the flight attendant,
And I broke her heart;
I dated my swim instructors,
And they both just wanted to get wet.
To one of them, I was just a "one-night-stand, "
And to the other, I was just a curiosity.
They weren't proper!
No they weren't for me.
Next, there was the actress,
She just added more drama to my life.
There was also the dancer,
And she was a flake.
I switched gears and dated the business owner,
But she was a slut (and that's being nice) .
I dated the gymnosophist,
But she couldn't be trusted.
I went out with the waitress,
But she wanted to serve others.
I look back at all the mistakes I've made.
What a mess!
None of these women were proper,
None of them were for me.
I dated the ex-cop,
She wasn't good enough to cuff.
I dated the rock-climber,
That relationship was always on the rocks.
I dated the model.
She was…well, we know how models are.
I was with the cook,
But she wasn't just stirring the pot, she was smoking it.
Then that gal from Sweden,
Nice gal, but enjoyed the bottle a bit too much.
What have I gotten myself into?
Proper they were not!
They were not for me.
There was my gymnastics instructor,
She blew her opportunity to bend over backwards for me.
I remember the personal trainer…
If she would work-out her brain, she'd be a keeper.
The list goes on and on.
Too many teasers…not enough pleasers.
If I don't remember their name, I remember their occupation.
And so far I give them all the same response:
"Sorry bebe, you're not proper…
It's not you, it's me…I just don't like you anymore."
