You'Re So Shallow. Why Do I Still Adore You? Poem by Adeline Morris

You'Re So Shallow. Why Do I Still Adore You?

You live life as if
we have written a satire
in your dedication.

It's as if you are begging
to be mocked by society.

Have you ever considered
wiping that paint
from your pretty face?
And about your chest:
do you not feel violated
showing it off to our mindless eyes?

Your thoughts don't live within you,
they rest in the fads of our generation.

It is quite apparent that
ideas are not impulsing through your 'brain'.

I thought he would appreciate
a girl who is creative, different, innovative.
No, he lowered himself to you.
