You'Re Too Much To Ask Poem by Christian Crisostomo

You'Re Too Much To Ask

I don't love you as much as I love you;
I don't like you as much as I admire you;
I don't as I do.

You're too much to ask
just like as I'm lying in the sand
of the undying shivering night
and waiting for my shooting star
to pass by in front of my eyes.
It is as though you're a beautiful flower
that has been nourished by season,
molded by the hands of God, and guarded by angels.

You've grown in this fertile soil
where I was already six feet beneath it.
My soul was trapped by your blossom
and I was captured by your nectar.

I saw you in the riverbank
while I was on the other side;
I wanted to cross it but it was full of crocodiles.
So I decided to just sit on a rock beside me.
Even though you're a light year away from me,
I can still see you, I can still feel your presence,
I can still hear your heart.
