You'Re Watching Over Me Poem by domeh guerriero

You'Re Watching Over Me

Death was something I never wished upon you
I still feel like there was something we could do
to bring you back, erase the past
and make all the memories we had last

You were stronger than any man I knew
and the cancer you had, ended you
now a piece of my heart is missing
and the only thing i do, is keep reminiscing

I’m weaker now; everyone can tell
that ever since you left, my life’s been a living hell
crying myself to sleep at night
nothing makes sense anymore, nothing’s right

It’s been a year, feels like forever
and each night I pray, that things will get better
I have to accept that you’re gone, let it be
as long as I know, you’re watching over me.
