You Said You Loved Me Too Poem by Robert Calabro

You Said You Loved Me Too

You said you loved me too,
And I would have done anything for you,
And I won't move on from the pain you put me through.
Because they say forgive and forget,
But I can't forget you because I loved you,
And I can't forgive you because I can't believe that anybody could do the things that you did without a second thought.
You told me you loved me, but I guess not.
You told me you needed me, but you walked away from me when I needed you;
You fooled me into trusting you, believing you, willing to do anything to be with you,
I was there for you, but when I needed you, you weren't there to help.
You promised you loved me, but you made me hate myself.
You said you loved me too;
How foolish I was to believe that was true…
