You stand there and watch!
Thinking you are far from it, but truth is you are
Lashing out words with ease, caring not about their destination's state
For at the bottom of the list, lies your concern
You stand there and watch!
There cry echoing through in desperation to be heard
‘No comment' you say, as it's not in your convenience at that moment
For at the depth of your soul, lies a different agenda
You stand there and watch!
They are thriving in pain and misery
You look and Feign empathy to qualify you as human
For in the line of your thoughts, this is just another tantrum
You stand there and watch!
Their hearts dilapidated; homelessness's all they have known in endless time
Standing tall to conveniently present a solution you only deepen the pain
For at the end of the day, you are back to the comfort you will trade for none other
For how long will you stand there and watch?
And what will it take you to stand here and act right?
When will you realize the sincere suffering of the innocent souls?
For even if you care less, that truth is staring at your face, desperate to be honored!
