You Surprise Me
That you should cry
surprises me
look!
No longer do i carry heavy loads
and receive peanuts for wage,
No longer do i walk
with tired feet on that world
that got little love to offer,
No longer do i wake up
with a rumbling stomach
and concious of a lacking breadfast,
No longer a burden to you
why mama?
Why do you cry,
when heavens decide to set me free
before you?
