You Took The Dice....And Rolled - Poem by wayne bright

WAS IT THE SHADOW OF DEATH
WAS IT THE SETTING SUN
THAT BROUGHT ON THAT FEELING
THAT YOU HAD NOWHERE TO RUN
WAS IT THE SUDDEN CHILL
WAS IT THE SHOOTING PAIN
DID YOU PANIC WHEN YOU SAW YOUR BLLOD
SPREADING AROUND YOU IN THE RAIN
DID YOUR LIFE FLASH BY
AS YOU STARTED TO FALL BACK
DID YOU THINK REALITY WOULD PREVAIL
AS YOU FELL INTO THE BURNIHG BLACK
YOU PUSHED IT TO THE LIMIT AGAIN
YOU TOOK THE DICE AND ROLLED
BUT THIS TIME IT DIDNT PAY-OFF
SO COVER YOUR TAB WITH YOUR SOUL
BECAUSE YOU TOOK THE DICE.....
YOU TOOK THE DICE....AND ROLLED
ALWAYS WALKING ON THE EDGE
NEVER LISTENING WHEN YOUR TOLD
YOU PLAYED RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH YOUR LIFE
YOU TOOK THE DICE AND ROLLED
YOU JUST GOT THE BIG WRITE-OFF
YOU HAVE JUST BEEN SOLD
THERE IS ONLY BLACKNESS WHERE YOUR GOING
AND THERE AINT NO DICE TO ROLL
BUT IT JUST DONT MATTER
BECAUSE YOUR ON YOUR WAY
AND DOWN WHERE YOU ARE GOING
THERE AINT NO GAMES TO PLAY
ALL BECAUSE YOU TOOK THE DICE
YOU TOOK THE DICE AND ROLLED
YOU TOOK THE DICE....AND ROLLED
