War Games Poem by wayne bright

War Games

Rating: 5.0

The generals played at their war games
They laid it down now its all history
On that day they sent us in
The scene was set for another tragedy
We hit the beach to open fire
Seems their surprise attack was no mystery
We were crushed in the enemies fist
Just more names on the long list of casualties
Who will be next to be sent to death
Another victim of their power and insanity
Now the war is old and the officers tired
Time to talk it out in cold war diplomacy
