You Were My Angel Poem by anu ngilyang

You Were My Angel

You were a brother, when I wanted to be protected.
You were a friend, when I need a shoulder to lean on.
You were a father, when I wanted to act childish.
You were a lover, when I wanted to be caressed and loved.
You were my angel, who gave me everything but wanted
nothing in return.
And only after losing you, I know how much you mean to me.
And I am sorry that I hurt you, I was a fool not to know.
Now I could trade the whole world to be with you
And to let you know that I love you immensely.
