You Were My Drug. Poem by Anthony Goodall

You Were My Drug.

You are like
The pop of a pill
The prick of a needle
The smell of a smoke
Oh how I love you so.

Euphoria is what you are
Incredible you make me feel,
Hot and cold
Invincible, all at once
Oh how I love you so

My addiction
My never ending craving
Is you
How I love you so
God I miss you……

This is great! I can definitely relate to the feeling! It's a bit like in my poem 'Leaving A Friend' - the idea of needing someone, or what they can give eg attention/affection, like a drug.
