Young Lovers Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Young Lovers

The young lovers.

I bought them a bag of autumn leaves since
they lived in a block of flats and had never
seen a tree. They strewed the leaves around
a lamppost and scratched their name on steel.
Alas, they were arrested for defacing public
property and being in possession of a knife..
