Your Choice Poem by Caitlin Cardinal

Your Choice

Rating: 3.5

This was your choice,
Not mine, my dear.

Your voice,
Loud and clear.

Deny all you want,
But I know what I heard.

Those few words still haunt,
And it's absolutely absurd.

How could you choose a boy,
Over your dearest friends?

How could you destroy
What we could've had in the end?

But you had your chance,
And one day, you'll see it was a wrong one.

You chose to have romance,
And all your friends will be gone.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My 'friend' chose her boyfriend over all her friends, but denies it so much even though she said herself, she only talks to him because he's going through so much... Obviously, she can't see that her friends are, too. Sorry if it's a bad poem! I was never all that good.
