Let me in, Let me in.

I've peaked, I've seen, light from within.
Something shining, something I see, no matter how thin.

Darkness, Darkness.

Around and around your head does spin.
Looking for light, guidance, but none to be found.
You've tried, you've searched, though no one's around.

Your Light, Your Light.

You say you have a past.
So? I do too.
We all have a past, one I regret though I'd pursue.
Over and over, not a thing I would change.
For what has happened, has made me this way.
Every mark, every scar.
From the top of my head to the bottom of my feet.
Every mark that was made, is what made me, me.
You say that you're lost.
You say it's complicated.
Now listen up, and listen close my dear.
I once felt this way.
Not a single day for weeks.
Was my mind ever clear.
I believed I lost myself.
And only had myself to blame.
But I figured out it wasn't true.
I figured out life's little game.
Let Me In, Let Me In.
My lost little self screamed from within.
But my thoughts clouded my judgment and made me believe.
That I was still lost, and that I wasn't being me.
Little did I know that lost little me, was my conscience screaming don't believe I'm still me, I'm still me.
Though Darkness, Darkness began to cloud, every inch every part and every time I'd look around.
I'd see no light, no guidance, no one to help.
I looked and looked, but no light to find my way out of my own little hell.
But one day after pursuing a light I saw flicker.
I realized I'm me and not a thing is to differ.
Maybe I'm stronger and just a little bit quicker.
Even a little wiser, though not lost.
A part of me has moved on.
A part I may miss.
But the new me is wiser, a gift I won't let drift away.
Now let me be Your Light, Your Light, and show you you're not lost.
And help you see yourself through new eyes.
