Your Poem Poem by W.I. Stoneberger

Your Poem

Rating: 2.8

In the spaces between these words
in the spaces between these lines
there is room for you to move
to fill in the blanks
to tell your own tale
to add any details
that might make it more real for you
feel free to add new flesh
to stretch the syllables into shapes
that fit easily into mouth
where their taste will remind your tongue
of other times the kitchens of childhood
home cooking and candy sweet memory
easily digestable ideas
there are places in this poem
where you can put
your own perception perspective personality
where you can become the paper the poem the poet
where you can add a dropp of blood
a dropp of sweat a tear
where you can inser a smile
or let a flutter of laughter
fill in an unfinished line
in the spaces between these words
there is room for you to write
your own life story.
