Your Smile Poem by Aisha .Y. Alansari

Your Smile

Your smile is my kryptonite,
it's the reason I can't sleep at night.

Your smile, your style, your aesthetic,
your beautiful long blonde locks,
your voice, so angelic,
I can't help but gawk.

I don't know you, I've never spoken to you,
so why does your smile make me feel like that?
I don't know you yet you're the one I want to pursue,
I need to snap out of it, like stat,
but do I really want to?

The first time I laid eyes on you, I never thought I'd be this obsessed with your smile,
God, it's so contagious,
I can't stop smiling like a silly little child.

I can only see your smile behind a screen,
in my head, in my sleep,
I just wish there was no in-between,
God, I feel like such a creep,
but I would kill to see that smile when I'm not counting sheep.

Your smile is my kryptonite,
it's the reason I can't sleep at night.
