Your Truth - Poem by Nate Tulay

Give me your truth

Tell me how my
betrayal changed
your perspective of me.

Don't hold your tongue,
or try to forget every
memory of us.

For us
Give me your truth
and let it play the role
of a goodbye or a new hello.

Quite good! Do paint a picture with words that will reflect exactly how the person betrayed must be feeling as a result of betrayal. The poem must put us in the shoes of the one betrayed. You are getting there (Report) Reply

Betrayal is sometimes something that is best not spoken about, anger is attached to betrayal and probably left at peace. The poem lacks passion but the heart is in the right place, well done Nate (Report) Reply

Unfortunately, betrayal destroys what was once had, changing the perspective and reality that the other
person has held onto in the past, but now cannot reconcile what's happened to the truth that they once
thought was real. Now it's only a lie and is no longer valid, therefor separation is inevitable. Thank you
for sharing Nate, your poetry is very worthwhile and meaningful, intense and heartfelt also. RoseAnn
