Your Way Poem by Jake Briggs

Your Way

One day you will learn
That the one who did not fight
Was the victor

Someday you will see
That the blind beggar who is faithful
Is richer than the wealthiest of men

In time you will know
That it does not matter
What the other man thinks of you

One day you will learn
That nothing can exist
Without its opposite

Someday you will see
That the fool who can laugh
Is smarter than anyone who cannot

In time you will know
That the time we spend alive
Is just the first step of a great journey

One day you will learn
That your way
Is not the only way
