Your Wilted Resplendency Poem by Nisho Olme

Your Wilted Resplendency

I’ve laid myself before you
Praying somehow this will stop
Crying at your feet all day
I’m dying dropp by drop
Asking for forgiveness
As I’m fading in and out
All I have is sorrow
And the shadow of a doubt
I doubt how much you love me
And I doubt you really care
I’m falling into darkness
And I doubt I’ll see you there
The cold is all around me
As I’m crying out your name
The fear wells up inside me
But it’s chilling just the same
My legs give out beneath me
As I’m struggling to stand
The darkness pulls me deeper
As I let go of your hand
I fight off all the demons
But you send me more to bear
I’m crying all the harder
Though you’ve never made it fair
The loneliness you gave me
I am leaving far behind
I stumble slowly forward
As I push you from my mind
