Youth Poem by Mac Adrone Adonay

Youth

You're a foundation
A haven of simple dreams
Mighty voice of hope
O look at our world today
Now tell me, what can you say?

No longer a place
Of joy, peace and contentment
But toil and terror
Jeopardy and turmoil
Is this the gift we will spoil?

Raise your hands, aim high
They stumble, they were fallen
Many fall asleep
And a lot of us will fall-
But rise, hear the country's call.
