Youthful Days Poem by Brian Musariri

Youthful Days

YOUTHFUL DAYS
It is my pleasure
It is my time
I smell all kinds of breath
I walk all corners of the world

Guidance is from my parents
I demand all I feel is good
I walk all the time freely
I partner with everyone I love

Expression I show to whoever I meet
Dressing is the desire of my parents
A pleasure to my heart
In youthful days I enjoy more what's life

When marriage comes,
Rule number 1; do as I say
Freedom has vanished
Understanding guidance is no more

I smell blood every time I break a principle
Associations are reduced if not banned
Expressing feelings to everyone is a crime
Joy is now a determinant of so called partner

I wish if youthful stage could last
For days are memorable
Even golden girls testifies
"In our days" they state it
Youthful days are better days of happiness.
