Yuletide Reminiscence (Part 7) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Yuletide Reminiscence (Part 7)

Suddenly activities commence
Sweeping in and out
Of beautiful painted houses
Designed with red earth and chalk
Washings and lots of greetings
To complement one another
Children bath n eloquent
In elegant new attires
And off to the church we go
A special season's worship
Sumptuous meals welcome us in retry
Inevitably rice
Ceremonial rice
With exceptional lump of milk
To makes our eyes bulge
