Zero Poem by Salvatore Ala

Zero

A triangle dies in three directions
The power of zero gains momentum
God picks bones from the graveyard of space
How long can the earth keep an angel
Spinning on an invisible point
How long before rain is on fire
The board for the preservation of forests
In a roomful of human limbs
With what fun we smash the planets together
With what reverence we approach
The grounds of an apparition
A square circle in the vastness
Yet no one can lift the number zero
From the crater it has created
