The Child

Can grownups laugh?
It is difficult.
Can grownups be funny?
It is very difficult.
Can grownups have wonder?
It is out of their realm.
Can a child laugh?
We are making it difficult.
Can a child be funny?
We just don't allow
can a child have wonder?
Of course! By watching what their parents are doing!
So they pray, please God forgive my parents as they don't know what they are doing to their kids.
They pray that; at least their parents practice what they preach.
They also pray for,
Earth quakes just under their schools,
To see a good human; only found in stories,
To get permission to run after butterflies,
To play in the nature, with flowers and birds,
To enjoy the symphony of nature,
To blast of all the 'idiot boxes' to end the cacophony of the grownup,
They also wonder,
When parents always insist on dressing,
But they are always found with little dress.
So goes the little wonders of a child.
Of course, all those wonders are still there in my mind also,
Am I an immature kid? ? ?
