RÓŽA DOMAŠCYNA Comments

Róža Domašcyna (born August 11,1951 in Zerna, Kamenz district) is a Serbian poet and translator. She is a member of the PEN Center Germany and the Saxon Academy of Arts.

She worked from 1968 to 1972 in the editorial board of the Serbian children's and youth magazine Płomjo and the daily newspaper Nowa doba. Since 1970 she has published poetry in the Serbian press. From 1979 she studied engineering economics of mining and was active until 1984 as a typist and materials economist in Knappenrode. From 1985 to 1989 she studied at the Leipzig Literature Institute " Johannes R. Becher" . Since 1990 she is a freelance writer.
