When Will It Be Enough

So tired of trying to please everyone
When will it be enough?
Will it be after my soul is sucked dry and I have nothing left to give
When all that’s left is a hollow shell of who I used to be
Will it be enough then?

So tired of begging
When will it be enough?
When my voice is raw from crying and pleading
My knees torn to shreds bleeding
Flesh peeled away
Will it be enough then?

So tired of my heart breaking
When will it be enough?
When it’s ripped from my chest and handed on a silver platter?
Leaving a gaping hallow hole
so abused that I think it will never beat again,
It starts to rot and decay.
Just ashes left…..
Will it be enough then?

So tired of it all
When will it be enough?

When I stand up and Stop.

I stop trying so hard to be everything to everyone
When I remember who I am
That I shouldn't have to beg
That my heart is mine and mine alone

I am strong and they are weak
To have to suck me dry of something they will never have on their own.
To stop the theft of my sanity and soul

And just walk
Walk away..
